“Play is often talked about as if it were a relief from serious learning. But for children, play is serious learning.”
Mr. Rogers
This is new territory for everyone and making it as easy on you and your child is a huge goal of ours.
We recommend having a small portion every day when you do “school.” Thirty minutes (total) really is enough. You might also want to do two 15-minute blocks, or even smaller blocks depending on your child’s attention span.
What you work on will depend on where your child is at developmentally. YOU know your child best. These activities are NOT meant to frustrate your child. Please feel free to adjust them as needed.
We strongly believe hands-on, playful activities are how all children learn best. Reading, playing, talking, and getting outside in the sunshine is important for preschoolers. You’ve got this! Please let us know if we can help in any way. We are going to miss your child VERY MUCH!
