Welcome to Kindergarten
This is my first year teaching Kindergarten at Placentino, and I am very excited for a great school year. Prior to this new position I was a paraprofessional here at Placentino, for the last 3 years, where I worked in both Preschool and Kindergarten classrooms. In addition to that, I was also a Special Education teacher for the last 2 years for our Extended School Year program. Before joining the Placentino community, I taught technology for grades K-4, as well as Title I reading support in Bellingham where I had the pleasure of working with Mrs. Slaney who was the building Principal. I also taught at the preschool level for many years before starting in the public school system. I graduated with my Bachelors of Arts in Early Childhood Education and Sociology from Bridgewater State University in 2013. Currently, I am continuing my education at Baypath University where I am pursuing my Masters Degree in Special Education. Outside of teaching and going to school I have many hobbies that I like to do. My top three favorite things are spending time with family and friends, powerlifting, and baking yummy treats!
