Paul Chadbourne II

Assembly Department Supervisor, S.E. Shires Company (Instrument Maker)

Paul Chadbourne is the Assembly Department Supervisor at S.E. Shires Co. where world renowned custom handmade trumpets and trombones are made. As well as being a supervisor and craftsman for S.E. Shires Co. Paul is also a freelance tuba and sousaphone player and can be seen playing all over the state of Massachusetts and even before some Boston Red Sox games at Fenway Park with the Hot Tamale Brass Band.

Paul attended Rhode Island College where he studied music performance on tuba. He is the regular tuba player for the SouthCoast Brass Band based out of New Bedford. In addition to that Paul has performed with headlining acts at the 2018 New Bedford JazzFest where he performed with Matthew Hartnett and the Gumbo All-Stars. In addition to this Paul is also an Endorsing artist for the Brand Mouthpieces Company in Switzerland.

In terms of his normal day job, Paul has been with the S.E. Shires Co. since 2013. Paul has had a full spectrum of different jobs which has allowed him to fully learn how a trombone is made inside and out. During his time at Shires Paul has had the chance to meet some incredible musicians both as colleagues and customers visiting the shop for a tour such as Bobby Burns Jr.(trumpet player for Earth, Wind, and Fire), members of the New York Philharmonic low brass section, and Doc Severinsen (former band leader for The Johnny Carson Show).

Thomas G. Lamont III

Plumber and Owner of Lamont Plumbing and Heating

Tom Lamont, owner of Lamont Plumbing and Heating, has been a self-employed plumber for 15 years. Prior to opening his own business, he worked for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and earned his license as a Journeyman plumber, a process that takes up to six years. Mr. Lamont will soon take master-level exams, which will allow him to employ journeyman-level plumbers and expand his very busy plumbing business, working on commercial and residential properties. “Working for yourself is both rewarding and challenging” says Lamont. “The demand for quality tradespeople is very high, and supply has been on a downward trajectory for the last ten years; there has never been a better time to learn a trade.”

Mr. Lamont is also a firefighter on the Holliston Fire Department. He has served with distinction since 1997, and in his 24 years on the department, has received many commendations and awards for exemplary service and bravery.

Carlos Acosta

Project Manager, Wayne J. Griffin Electric

Carlos began his career with Griffin Electric in their Apprenticeship Training Program. This program is an 'earn while you learn' program and offers specialized training and on the job training. From here he became a licensed Electrician, then an Assistant Project Manager and now he holds the position of Project Manager.

In his role as Project Manager, Carlos uses his years of previous experience to successfully oversee projects from inception to completion. Leading and directing Foremen, Electricians, Assistant Project Managers and Engineers are a main responsibility of the Project Manager. Carlos works closely with the Engineer, Architect, and General Contractor to monitor job progress and resolve problems. Experienced in project budgeting, accounting procedures and contract terms, Carlos is capable managing all financial aspects of the job. In addition, he is responsible for staffing manpower for each assigned project and tracking labor for the project.
