Amy Belger

Appellate Attorney

Amy M. Belger is a graduate of Boston College and Boston College Law School. She began her career with the Manhattan District Attorney's Office where she was member of the Sex Crimes Bureau and Child Abuse Bureau. She prosecuted homicides of victims under the age of 14 and homicides that resulted from or involved a sexual assault. She later joined a large Manhattan law firm and handled white-collar criminal matters and corporate internal investigations for clients who became the focus of state and federal government inquiry. In 2014, Belger was named a Massachusetts Lawyer’s Weekly Lawyer of the Year and was selected as a Massachusetts Super Lawyer for 2016 and 2017, a distinction awarded to the top 5% of members of the bar. She currently maintains a practice focus on state and federal appellate criminal matters. She is a member of the Committee for Public Counsel Services Innocence Program and the Murder Panel, as well as the Criminal Justice Panel of the First Circuit Court of Appeals. She lives in Holliston with her husband and four children.

Wade Blackman

District Counsel for the Office of Congresswoman Katherine Clark

Wade Blackman is the district counsel for Congresswoman Katherine Clark. In this role, Wade serves as the liaison for the MetroWest communities within the district as well as handling all transportation and environment issues for the district. Prior to working for the Congresswoman, Wade worked as an attorney in private practice for several years. Wade is a proud alum of City Year Boston, Northeastern University and Suffolk Law School. Additionally Wade is a veteran of many campaigns.

Wade serves on the Natick Service Council Board, is a founding board member of the MetroWest Women's Conference Board and he remains an active volunteer with several different organizations including Voices Against Violence and CFES.


The Honorable David W. Cunis

First Justice,Framingham/Natick District Court

The Honorable David W. Cunis is the First Justice of the Framingham/Natick District Court. He was appointed as a District Court judge in November of 2006 by Governor Mitt Romney, and has served as First Justice in Framingham since June of 2014. The District Court has a vast jurisdiction, and so on any given day Judge Cunis presides over both criminal and civil matters, including those involving domestic assault and battery, drunk driving, motor vehicle homicide, house and car breaks, larcenies, identity theft, motor vehicle negligence, contract disputes, small claims, debt collection, animal destruction appeals, premises liability, administrative appeals, unemployment benefit appeals, abuse prevention orders, and mental health civil commitments, to name only a few. As a judge, he has presided over numerous criminal and civil jury trials. He is a member of the District Court Committee on Mental Health and Substance Abuse Disorders and the District Court Voir Dire Committee. Prior to his appointment to the bench, Judge Cunis served as an Assistant District Attorney in the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office for nearly fourteen years. As an Assistant District Attorney, he tried dozens of jury and jury-waived cases in the District and Superior Courts. He was also the Deputy Chief of the Appeals Bureau, and argued numerous cases on behalf of the Commonwealth before both the Massachusetts Appeals Court and the Supreme Judicial Court, the highest court in the state. Judge Cunis is a graduate of Boston College and the Catholic University of America School of Law. He lives in Holliston with his wife and two sons.
