Mark Ahronian

President, Ahronian Landscape and Design

Mark Ahronian founded Ahronian Landscaping and Design, Inc. in 1987. Since the beginning, he has been very prominent in every aspect of the business, the industry, and the community. His passionate approach to each project, being personally involved from design through completion, has helped propel the company forward with great success. With his expertise in plant material, property layout and over 40 years in the industry, he has perfected his ability for accomplishment in landscape design. His commitment to serving the customers with candor and excellence sets a standard for others to follow.

Mark, a Mass. Certified Horticulturist since 1985, has served as president of the Mass. Nursery and Landscape Association, as well as president for the MNLA's scholarship program, which he helped build — The Foundation for Educational Excellence. Mark is the Tree Warden for the Town of Holliston, served on the former Economic Development Committee and is also a board member for the senior center for the town of Holliston. Mark also teaches "Fundamentals of Landscape Design" in the spring and fall at the Massachusetts Horticultural Society.

Mark has recently been awarded the Holliston 'Citizen of the Year' in 2011 and he also helped to propel the town towards several national awards with the "America in Bloom" competition. Mark serves as Co-Chair for the Holliston in Bloom committee. He is a member of the Board of Trustees for the Massachusetts Horticultural Society, where he chairs the Education Committee. Mark is a past President of the Holliston Lions Club as well as a recipient of the International Lions prestigious, 'Melvin Jones' fellowship award for showing exemplary service and dedication to his club, his community, and to Lions overall.

Mark is a proud graduate from the Norfolk County Agricultural High School in Walpole Ma. as well as the Stockbridge School of Agriculture at UMASS Amherst.

Christopher Johnston

Landscape Architect, Ahronian Landscaping and Design

Chris has been working at Ahronian Landscaping and Design since 2009. He started during his high school internship and has been here ever since. During his high school and college internships he was able to learn many facets of design and installation of plantings and hardscapes. Christopher uses his computer aided design skills to create his designs.

Christopher Johnston is a Mass. Certified Horticulturist; graduated from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst, with a B.S. in Landscape Architecture and is a graduate of the Stockbridge School of Agriculture with an Associates Degree in Landscape Contracting. Christopher is a graduate of Holliston High School. Christopher currently serves on the Education Committee and the Scholarship Committee, The Foundation for Educational Excellence, for the Massachusetts Nursery and Landscape Association.

Alisha McDonald

Horticulturist/Account Manager, R. P. Marzilli & Co., Inc.

Alisha earned an AS degree from the Stockbridge School of Agriculture/UMass in Landscape Construction and a BS degree from UMass Amherst in Landscape Architecture in 2012. Alisha’s career at RPM started while still a college student in 2009 during the spring and summer seasons. While gaining valuable industry experience she proved to be a great leader for our growing team. We knew we wanted her to stay at RPM and offered her a permanent position as a horticulturist upon her graduation from UMass. Alisha has recently been promoted to Account Manager leading a landscape maintenance team that provides property care and landscape enhancements for some of the most beautiful residential landscapes in the Greater Boston area.
