Meetings/ Events

The following is a list of all the expected events for NHS members (note that some are specific to junior/senior members). If a member is unable to attend a mandatory event, they must complete an additional 2 hours of community service in addition to the expected 30 hours. Repeated absences from events are grounds for dismissal from the NHS.

Open house (seniors only) -

Trick-or-Treating for Canned Goods - Wed., Oct 30 @5pm

Senior Center Dinner and Show - Wed., Nov. 20 6:30 p.m. (members should arrive at 6:00)

Teachers' Night Out - Fri., Dec, 6th 6:00-9:00 p.m.

Baked Goods and Thank-You Notes for Teachers - Delivered by all officers on Dec 20th-> list of teacher names and goods sign up to be distributed at Dec. meeting

Open house (juniors only) - THURS, Feb. 13, @7pm

Virtual Induction - Wed., May 27, 2020 @7:00pm

*Service Hours:

1st semester: Due Friday, January 24th, 2020

2nd semester: Collection of hours has been suspended due to Covid-19

Services are due to your OFFICER on the due date. If hours are not turned in, you will be given additional hours (after the first offense). Any additional offense may lead to dismissal.

Monthly meetings are mandatory and will take place in room 303 at 2:15 unless stated otherwise. If, for some reason, you are unable to attend a meeting, notice must be given (in writing) 24 hours in advance of the meeting. One hour of service is required for missing a meeting. Please plan accordingly.
