The ScrapHeads Robotics Team is sending our flamingos on a mission—and they may be landing in a yard near you!
Support the team by deploying a colorful Flamingo Invasion to a friend, neighbor, family member, teacher, coworker, or other willing victim. Each invasion includes a yard full of flamingos along with ScrapHeads signs and information about supporting the team.
🦩 Deploy the Flamingos — $30
Send the flamingos to a neighbor, friend, or family member’s yard.
The person ordering the invasion must know the property is safe for our students and volunteers to access and have a reasonable expectation that the property owner will be okay with participating in this lighthearted fundraiser.
🚚 Request Extraction — $20
Ready for the flamingos to move on? Request an early extraction and our crew will retrieve them.
🔄 Redirect the Invasion — $40
Don’t just send the flamingos away—send them somewhere else!
For $40, our team will extract the flamingos from your yard and redeploy them to another eligible location of your choosing.
🛡️ Flamingo Safe Zone — $30 Early Bird / $40 After Invasions Begin
Prefer to admire the flamingos from a distance?
Make a donation and register your address as a Flamingo Safe Zone. Our invasion crews will keep your property off the deployment list for this fundraiser.
We want this fundraiser to be fun for everyone—and safe for our students, volunteers, property owners, pets, and flamingos.
By requesting a Flamingo Invasion, you agree to the following:
Safe properties only. Please select a location where our team can safely access the front yard without entering a home, fenced area, locked gate, construction area, or other restricted space.
No surprise trespassing. The person requesting the invasion is responsible for making sure the property owner is someone who would reasonably welcome this type of good-natured fundraiser and that our team has permission to access the yard.
Pets must be secured. Please do not send us to a property where dogs or other animals may be loose or able to reach our volunteers. If an animal is loose or appears threatening, the invasion will be canceled or relocated.
Front yards only. Our volunteers will not enter backyards, fenced yards, gated areas, garages, porches, homes, or other enclosed/private spaces.
Respect posted signs. We will not enter property displaying No Trespassing, No Soliciting, Beware of Dog, or similar warnings.
Safe conditions required. We may decline or relocate an invasion because of unsafe terrain, weather, poor lighting, traffic, animals, construction, or any other condition our team determines could create a safety concern.
No damage intended. Flamingos and signs will be placed carefully in appropriate lawn areas. We will avoid landscaping, irrigation equipment, gardens, utilities, and other areas that could be damaged.
Flamingos stay with the team. Please don't remove, relocate, hide, or damage the flamingos or ScrapHeads signs. Request an Extraction or Redirect instead!
We reserve the right to say no. ScrapHeads Robotics may decline any requested location for safety, accessibility, logistical, or other reasonable concerns. If we cannot safely complete an invasion, we will work with the purchaser to select another eligible location.
If our invasion crew arrives and doesn't feel comfortable entering the property, we don't enter.
Our students' and volunteers' safety comes first—even when flamingos are involved.
Thank you for supporting ScrapHeads Robotics Team #21485 and helping make the Flamingo Invasion a fun community fundraiser!
Want to support ScrapHeads Robotics without waking up to a yard full of flamingos? Register your address as a Flamingo Safe Zone and your property will be kept off our invasion list for the duration of the fundraiser.
If someone requests an invasion at a registered Safe Zone, the invasion will not be deployed there. We will let the sender know that the address is protected and allow them to select another eligible location at no additional charge.
Safe Zone registrations apply only to the registered property and cannot be transferred or used to redirect an invasion to another address.
I confirm that I know the property owner or resident and have a reasonable expectation that they will welcome this fundraiser and allow the ScrapHeads to briefly enter the front yard to place and remove the Flamingo Invasion.
That keeps the surprise element without claiming the recipient gave advance permission.
If you want it a little more student-friendly and less formal:
I confirm that I know the person I’m sending the flamingos to and have good reason to believe they will be okay with the ScrapHeads entering their front yard for this fundraiser.
You could then pair it with a separate safety acknowledgment:
I confirm that the property is safe and accessible and does not have loose animals, locked gates, posted No Trespassing signs, or other known hazards.
