The Holden Robotics Association (HRA) supports student robotics programs serving Holden Schools, helping provide the resources and opportunities students need to design, build, program, compete, and grow.
HRA directly supports the ScrapHeads FIRST Tech Challenge Team #21485 and FIRST LEGO League Team #75086 through fundraising, financial management, community partnerships, and other resources that help make participation in robotics possible.
ScrapHeads represents Holden in the FIRST Tech Challenge, where students design, build, program, and operate robots to compete in an annual engineering challenge.
The ScrapHeads began competiting in 2022. They qualified for the MOKAN Championship 2023-2025, World Championship in 2024, and a World's level Premiere Event in 2025!
Holden's FIRST LEGO League program introduces younger students to engineering, programming, problem-solving, teamwork, and competitive robotics.
ScrapHeads Jr formed in 2025 and will compete as a rookie team in 2026.
Holden Robotics Association is a fiscally sponsored project of The Hack Foundation (Hack Club).
Since March 2024, The Hack Foundation has maintained a restricted fund to support the Holden Robotics Association and receives donations and other funds on HRA's behalf.
Fiscal sponsorship allows HRA to receive charitable donations and access resources that directly support our student robotics programs.
The Hack Foundation is a 501(c)(3) public charity with the EIN 81-2908499.

Your support helps provide students with opportunities to learn engineering, programming, design, problem-solving, teamwork, communication, leadership, mentorship, and service through hands-on experiences, outreach, and community engagement.
Donations help support the equipment, materials, competition expenses, outreach activities, and other resources needed to keep our robotics programs moving forward.
Both one-time and monthly donations are welcome.
Donations are processed through HCB as part of HRA's fiscal sponsorship by The Hack Foundation. Donors can request a receipt by email for their tax records.
