ANNOUNCEMENTS

Thursday, April 25, 2019

Attention Seniors: Mrs. Heuring is needing to know all scholarships you have received so they can be announced at our Awards Assembly.

Due to the juniors being out tomorrow to decorate for Prom, FCCLA will have elections next week. You will need to see Mrs. Musgrave by the end of the day if you want to run for an office.

Beginning today, we will have cheeseburgers for ala carte instead of mozzarella dunkers. This will be for the rest of the school year.

Our new coaches will be here tomorrow during 7th hour to meet with the players.

Our Sports Banquet has been scheduled for next Tuesday, April 30th.

A list of lunch charges are posted on the bulletin board and will need to be paid before you will receive your grades. This balance is through yesterday. Also, a list of students who owe more than $20 will need to have it paid under $20 before they can participate in Prom or the Jr. High Dance.

The following beta students will need to meet in Mrs. McClendon's room tomorrow morning at 7:30 to help with the backpacks: Valerie Liford, Montana Long, Allison Moody, Triston Randl, Maryangel Gonzales, Charles Avery Heuring, Luke Hodges, and Kody Johnson.

The Kennett Rotary Club is hosting a Gong Show on Friday, May 3rd beginning at 6:30. Students and adults who would like to perform their talent, can register at the number posted on the bulletin board.

Our High School Awards Assembly will be Thursday, May 2nd at 7:00 p.m. in the auditorium. We will be sending out invitations to those who will be receiving subject awards next Monday. All seniors will need to be in attendance as this is the time we will be presenting some of the scholarships, along with perfect attendance, and honor roll. Students in grades 9-11 will receive their perfect attendance and honor roll certificates on Wednesday, May 8th.

Deadline to purchase a yearbook is May 9th. Cost is $35. We will not be ordering any extras so make sure to order your copy soon!

If you purchased a Prom Souvenir Lanyard, you can come by the office and pick it up.

The Drama Club will be going to Poplar Bluff on Friday, May 3rd to see Willy Wonka. The tickets are free, but you will need to bring money for food. Bus will leave at 4:30. We will be stopping somewhere in Bluff to eat supper, then go to the play. Please pick up a permission form in the office if you plan on attending and have it signed and returned by Thursday, May 2nd.

Jr. High Baseball Conference Tournament game will be played here on Monday at 4:30.

Our Jr.-Sr. Prom will be this Saturday beginning with the Grand March at 6:30 p.m. Those participating in Grand March will need to be here by 6:15 to get lined up.

Congratulations to our Girl's Softball Team on being the Tri County Conference Tournament Champs with their 18-6 win over Cooter! They also received a trophy for Regular Season Conference Champs with an 18-0 record.

Juniors: We will be decorating again tonight from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. in the auditorium. Those who have worked 2 nights will be out all day tomorrow to decorate. Those who would like to help prepare some of the food for the dance can meet at Varner River Baptist Church tomorrow night at 6:00.
