Mythical Creatures
KITSUNE: One of the mythical creatures students learned about was Kitsune; a trickster fox from Japanese folklore. It grows a new tail, every 100 years.
This term the 3/4s at Holy Name have been learning all about mythical creatures from different countries. They have created their own mythical and magical creature, combining elements from real or imagined animals. SUCCESS CRITERIA
Plan and draw an imaginary mythical and magical creature, which can combine features from real animals (e.g. the scales from a snake, the claws of an owl and the mane of a lion)
Demonstrate how to blend colour pencils and/or add shading
Create texture on your drawing (e.g. feathers, scales, spikes, fur) through the use of different lines
Describe some facts about my creature, including its name, location and power/s
