This is a 2 day, 1 night trip.
Who? Where?
Year 8 students only (approx. 30)
Either Whakapapa or Turoa Ski Field, Ruapehu
Details:
A message will be sent out Mid-Term two as to the exact date and time that Registrations will open.
Once registrations open students will be added to the trip list in the order that they register. Once 30 students are on the list they will be given all the relevant information at the first group meeting.
The cost of the trip will need to be fully paid approximately 5-6 weeks before the trip takes place. Any students who have not paid by that date will forfeit their place and it will be offered to the next student on the list of original registrations.
Students of any skiing / snowboarding ability are able to attend (varying abilities are catered to through lessons from qualified instructors).
A list of what gear is needed will be available once students have been notified of their place on the trip.
Some parent help will be required for this trip.
The cost includes:
Ski/snowboard package for two days (lessons x2 or x3, all mountain lift pass, gear hire)
Accommodation
Travel (1 hired minivan and parent cars)
Dinner and breakfast at accommodation
Hiring of snow jackets, pants and helmets will be an additional cost per day if needed (usually around $18 per day, for all three items)
