Kiwk Sticks - Intermediate Hockey
In alignment with the Hockey New Zealand Strategy review and current tournament offerings like AIMS HBH is now running all Intermediate competitions as 7 a side. The format is part of the 'balance is better" philosophy through Hockey New Zealand.
If your child is selected for the HNI hockey teams to play in the Super Six competition, this will be held at Hawkes Bay Sports Park in August. We take a girls and boys team for this event.
Transport Arrangements: We are reliant on parent transport on the day. There is no requirement to stay with the team during the day. The students will assemble at 7.50 am outside the school office, arriving at Hastings Sports Park by 8.30am. The competition runs from 9:00 – 2:30pm.
Clothing: The students are to travel in their PE uniform with a warm jacket or school jersey and black tracksuit trousers. They will need all their own hockey gear and PE shirt, black shorts and black socks . They will need to bring plenty of food and drink for the day. It would be advisable to take some polypropylene layers and a raincoat in case of cold or wet conditions. The Park Island hockey shop may be open.
