Girls Football
Girls football is played on a Wednesday afternoon at different fields around Hawke’s Bay. Last year HNI had one girls football team. Depending on numbers of interest expressed, and availability of coaches, this will determine how many teams we have for the current season. When the team is formed, a day that suits most will be identified for training when we have confirmed the coaches/managers.
There is a cost of approx $30 per student to play football.

Super 6 Football
Date: Thursday 16 May 2024
Time: The students will assemble at 8:45am outside the office, arriving at Park Island by 9:20am. The competition runs from 9:45 – 2:30pm.
Venue: Park Island, Tamatea. Transport is needed so please let me know if you can help.
Clothing: Students are to travel in their football uniform (Wednesday shirts and shorts) with a school jacket and black tracksuit pants. Students to provide their own black football socks.
Please bring plenty of food and drink for the day. It would be advisable to take some polypropylene layers and a raincoat in case of cold or wet conditions.
Boys Football
Boys wishing to play football are expected to be involved in regular weekly club competition as boys' football at HNI is limited to the local Super6 intermediate schools competition, AIMS, and one or two other invitational events. Super6 is being held at Park Island on Thursday 16th May.
Trials for these competitions are advertised on Student Notices.
Club Football
Football is not offered at HNI as a winter sport. This is because in Hawkes Bay it is a club sport.
