Malagasy rosewood is found only in Madagascar. It is threatened by habitat loss and overexploited by human activities.

Conservation

Malagasy rosewood is included in the ‘Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES)’ Appendix II.
