Threats

Dendrobium huoshanense is a precious herbal medicine in China. Because of its high economic value, it is overharvested and threatened with extinction. Conversion of forest land to silviculture has also led to habitat loss of Dendrobium huoshanense and its number is decreasing.

Conservation

Dendrobium huoshanense is included in the ‘Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES)’ Appendix II.
