The objective of Hanford High School SALAD BOWL Multicultural Club is to educate students about their own cultures and cultures other than their own in an interactive, entertaining, and informative process.
The club’s activities are based on multi-ethnic speakers, food, and experiences. We take field trips to explore the customs and celebrations of other cultures. To raise money for our trips and experiences, we provide service duties, create henna tattoos, and hold snack sales. We also enjoy performing community service, and we have strong ties to other service clubs and community service groups in Hanford. The club is open to all students all year.
During distance learning, we plan to do these activities virtually, including online field trips, cooking experiences, and cultural presentations. Meetings will be conducted via our Google Classroom Site and Google Meets. We will use this format until we are able to come back to school in person.
