【7979与举白旗】

🏳️最近很多人问我，7979有没有参与这次的举白旗运动呢？🤔一时之间，我不知应该要回答有，或没有。

自从前一阵子民间自发式地发起举白旗运动，引来各界热烈响应。有个人、组织、团体、政党、机构、商家、企业，大家发挥 #KitaJagaKita 的 #Muhibah 团结精神，关顾陷困的邻舍，这绝对是一件好事。❤️

🍞目前在全马各地区都有很多形形色色的食物银行或食物站点。有些是干粮或熟食的派发或自取或发放现金券，都有不同的运作模式。有些是因应白旗运动的，有些则是白旗之前已经进行一段日子了的。有些是不分情况(no questions asked)施援，有些则为问责或其他原因需要填写资料，也有些是以社工伦理和专业为本的介入式个案管理模式，为求达到最佳的援助后果（包括物资和非物资方面如心理和医护等等）。

🛒7979在2017年开始 【吗哪食物银行】 的方案，为贫穷和弱势的家庭提供“吗哪包”，内含粮食、卫生及清洁用品、特殊需求如奶粉及尿片等等。每两个月发放一次价值马币200的吗哪包以外，也由志工跟进探访，持续评估案家状况，发挥援助最大效益化。去年行动管制开始后，反反复复的疫情导致案家数大幅提升，目前在全马8个区域已超过560家。这些家庭因为有7979吗哪食物包的援助，而不必举白旗，因为一路来已经有人在跟进关心。

✅因此，狭义来说，7979没有参与举白旗运动，而是一路来都没有停止在进行“防范举白旗”。

🆘广义来说，由于我们在打长久战，7979需要举白旗，不是投降，而是向在后方的你们呼吁，支援前线，军事部署的供应链不能断，很重要。

【7979 and The White Flag】

🏳️ There are many who have asked me whether 7979 involved in or responding to the White Flag Movement recently? 🤔 For a while, I didn't know if I should answer yes, or no.

Since a while ago, Malaysians have launched the White Flag Movement spontaneously and it's received enthusiastic response. It's definitely a good thing to see individual, groups, organizations, political parties, agencies, businesses, merchants, and many to chip in with the unity spirit of #KitaJagaKita and #Muhibah to look after neighbours in trouble. ❤️

🍞 Currently there are various type of food bank or food aid point nationwide. With different operation mode, some are distributing dry or cooked food, some are self-help or handling out voucher. Some are responding to the White Flag Movement, some have been going on for some time before the movement. Some take measure of no-questions-asked, some required information for accountability or other reason, while some work on case management with social work based holistic approach to achieve the best aid consequences (include material and non-material aspects such as psychology and medical care, etc).

🛒 7979 launched Manna Food Bank program in 2017, to distribute Manna Bag for the poor and underprivileged family, which contain food, sundries and special needs like milk powder and diaper. Trained volunteers are deployed to deliver the Manna Bag which valued at RM200 bimonthly, meanwhile assessing their condition to maximize the effectiveness of the aid. Since the movement control last year and the prolong pandemic situation, there is a subtantial increase of case number, over 560 households at 8 regions of Malaysia. These families do not need to raise the white flag due to the aid of 7979 Manna Food Bag and there are someone who will follow up and care for them.

✅ Therefore, 7979 didn't involve in the white flag movement in narrow sense, but has been preventing the raise of more white flags all along.

🆘 In general, we are in for the long haul fight, 7979 needs to raise the white flag, not to surrender, but to urge those at the back to support the frontline, as it's important that the supply chain for any "military deployment" cannot be broken.
