CERAMICS

Ceramics is a course in which students learn design and skills needed to produce pottery and sculpture using a variety of hand-building techniques. Throughout the semester students are exposed to all hand-building techniques: slab, drape, coil, and pinch. They will also have the opportunity to work on the ceramic wheel. General knowledge about ceramic artists, techniques, art careers, and art criticism will be included.
