COURSE DESCRIPTION:

Art Skills (B) is a basic art course acquainting students with the many facets of art. Beginning with the elements of art, students will learn the basics. From this point, work is created in various media: graphite, colored pencils, paint, charcoal, chalk, pen and ink, and watercolor. The fundamentals of drawing and painting will be introduced including still life and portrait artwork. Three-dimensional work will be explored in the mediums of clay, plaster, or paper-mache. Students will maintain a class notebook (bullet journal), art journal and a digital portfolio as requirements of the class.
