Screencastify is a Chrome extension that enables you to make short explainer videos of what it is that you are demonstrating on your screen. Additionally, you have the option to record only what is on your webcam if you choose. Screencastify videos are saved directly to Google Drive. Also, it has an integrated "share to Google Classroom" option.
HISD provides you with the Unlimited Screencastify subscription. The screencastify extension has been pushed to your HISD account so you do not have to install it.
IMPORTANT: Use built-in "Share to Google Classroom" so that students will not have to download the screencast.

Get the mobile app and take Flipgrid with you on the go.
Do you have the YouTube app on your smartphone phone?
If so, login to the app with your HISD Google account and record a video in that YouTube Channel. When recording in this channel you will see a screen like the one to the left, stating that "You're legally required to comply with COPPA..."
Also, I would recommend setting your privacy to Unlisted as in my example to the left.
Then, you can upload the video to your Hillsboro ISD YouTube Channel and share the URL to your Google Classroom.
NOTE: Creating videos in your Hillsboro ISD YouTube channel and complying with COPPA, sets your content to be made for kids. As a result, certain safeguards are automatically put in place to limit the collection of data. For instance, comments are disabled in these videos.
