Congratulations Hilbert Academic Bowl Team
On March 19th, the Hilbert Middle School Academic Team competed against other area school districts.
The teams participate on two competitions - the first is a computer based test and the second is a question and answer in front of an audience. The areas the teams are quizzed on are Current Events, English, Math, Science, and Social Studies.
Our team for the 2019 year, spent the last two months of Mondays after school practicing. This practicing was rewarding with a 2nd place finish!

Wolf Buddy November Activity
What a great November activity we had. The little and big Wolf Buddies had a fun time passing on positive messages in two different ways. First, each pair of Buddies created a journal in which they can pass messages and letters back and forth between monthly activities. The plan is to keep the journals in the library for Bigs and Littles to check out as often as they want.
Second, each little and big Wolf Buddy made a Kindness Rock. Each rock has a positive message on it. The rocks will be placed around local communities by staff members. The meaning of these rocks are to pass on the positive message. If you happen to find one, take a picture and hashtag it to track where it has carried its message. Then please pick it up and take it to a new location (city, state, etc.)
Wolf Buddy October Activity
A brisk October morning was the wonderful setting for the first Wolf Buddy Activity. A new tradition with 7 - 12th graders mentoring the K - 6th grade students has started this school year. Over 250 pumpkins were carved during this activity. More than the pumpkins were made though; new friendships were formed. Smiling faces were soon all around .
Welcome Back Hilbert Wolves!
Let's start this school year off on the right foot. All the teachers are here to help and support the middle school students. We want to see your awesome!

The Plinko Board
The 3rd Quarter Incentive included a variety of activities. Students had a chance to make pizzas, shoot around in the gym, play silentball, race with the Wii, enjoy boardgames, and try out the Plinko Board.
The Plinko Board was a project created by a High School Shop class and painted by middle school students. Donations were collected for prizes. Each student who participated in the incentive had a shot to drop the puck and win!
Congratulations to the Hilbert Academic Bowl Team for taking home 1st place last night. This team of 7th and 8th grade students worked after school to practice the subjects of English, Math, Science, Social Studies, and Current Events.
At Chilton, they competed against 7 teams from the area. The first round consisted of computer based testing. The second round was a live question round on stage in front of a large audience.

Every parent with an email should have received an email from Sign Up Genius yesterday. The email should have directions with how to sign up for conferences. Each student was assigned to a specific teacher for you to meet with from the core teachers. If you would like to speak with other teachers, they will be available at this time also.
