About me:
I have been teaching with Highland since 2017. It is my pleasure to share my passion for art and creativity with my young scholars!
Art was always my favorite class growing up. A chance discovery at Kent State led me to start blowing glass in 1992. I have been practicing the craft now for over 30 years. Currently I have a private home studio. Needless to say, I love to create things with my hands and mind. I also enjoy ceramics, photography, collecting toy marbles & arrowheads, VW Karmann Ghias, nature, gardening, history, and the study of technology. I also raise monarch butterflies and mason bees.
Education:
Undergraduate - Kent State University - Studio Art and Archaeology.
Graduate - University of Akron - MS degree in Curriculum and Instruction .
