What is it?

The Academic Team at Sebring High School is a club that meets (usually ever other week) and practices questions and answers on all topics of human knowledge. The game is played with a lockout buzzer system between some number of teams, most commonly two teams of four players each. A moderator reads questions to the teams, whose players endeavor to buzz in first with the correct answer, scoring points for their team. A team is usually made up of 4-5 players. This year, we will have a 5 player team that I will take to the State Competition at Disney in April, including my three team officers. The team will be comprised of members who excel in the ability to answer questions and participate. EVERYONE is welcome to practice with the A-team, but the actual "Disney Team" spot has to be earned. New members are always welcome. Stop by a practice or see Mrs. Leach for more information.
