Mrs. DeAtley

About Me: This will be my 8th year at Hico ISD, my 11th year of teaching overall. I have 3 kiddos who also attend the Hico schools and a husband who is business owner; working in Hico and surrounding areas. We adore and appreciate the community of Hico!

 I will be teaching 7th and 8th grade Reading Language Arts this school year! My previous experience consists of teaching elementary music, art, math, and science, as well as middle school reading and ELA. I absolutely love working with the middle school age group and enjoy exploring all the avenues of literary elements and devices with them. We will be working through the concepts of listening, speaking, inquiry, reading, writing, grammar, and vocabulary.  

I have to say that this subject area is by far my favorite, and I am looking forward to an excellent school year!
