Mrs. DeAtley

About Me: This will be my 7th year at Hico ISD, my 10th year of teaching overall. I have 3 kiddos that also attend the Hico schools and a husband that is business owner. I will be teaching 7th and 8th grade English Language Arts and reading this school year! My previous experience consists of teaching elementary music, art, math, and science, as well as middle school reading and ELA. I absolutely love working with the middle school age group and enjoy exploring all the avenues of literary elements and devices with them. We will be working through the concepts of listening, speaking, inquiry, reading, writing, grammar, and vocabulary.  

I have to say that this subject area is by far my favorite, and I can't wait to get started with students this 2025-2026 school year!
