Hico ISD Teacher Incentive Allotment
Rewarding Teacher Excellence in Texas
In June of 2019, the 86th Texas Legislature passed House Bill 3 (HB3), which was signed into law by Governor Abbott establishing the optional Teacher Incentive Allotment (TIA) program. Two goals of this program are to provide incentive pay to highly effective teachers and to attract and retain effective teachers especially in rural and high-poverty level schools.
Hico ISD has submitted the Letter of Intent to participate in Cohort D of the Teacher Incentive Allotment and is in the process of creating our designation system. The purpose of this website is to keep staff and community members up to date on the application process throughout the 2020-2021 school year.
Parents, teachers, and other community members are invited to participate in the development of the Hico ISD TIA. If you would like to be a part of creating our program or have further questions, contact Shelli Stegall at 254-796-2181 or sstegall@hico-isd.net.
