I am excited to be teaching at Hickory High again this year after a 3 year hiatus. I taught at HHS 2012-2016 and am currently teaching part-time while working at Transportation Insight full-time. I am originally from Colorado where I attended the University of Colorado and achieved a Bachelor of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering. I spent 17 years as a software engineer before starting my education career. I have a graduate certificate in Secondary Mathematics from UNC-Charlotte (2014) and have taught Math III, Algebra II, Geometry, Discrete Math, and AP Statistics. My wife Kelly and I have two children: Ethan graduated from HHS in 2018 and is currently attending Lenoir-Rhyne University, and Delaney who is a currently a HHS junior attending the High School Scholars Academy at LRU.
