Welcome to the new school year! I'm thrilled to be back teaching here at Hickory High. I come with 15 years of teaching experience. I have taught just about each level of English including AP Language & Composition and AP Capstone Seminar. I attended Illinois State University (Go Redbirds!) and graduated in 2008 with a Bachelor's of English in Secondary Education and a minor in Spanish. When I'm not at school, I love exploring Hickory and the surrounding area, jamming to Taylor Swift, reading new books, and playing Barbies and LOLs with my 5-year-old daughter Bridget. In addition to my teaching, I advise the Tornado Times Newspaper and Junior Marshals. I look forward to making the most of this year and having lots of fun with you!Â
