About me

I joined the Information Systems department in 2010. My PhD degree is from the Language Technologies Institute, school of Computer Science, Carnegie Mellon University  received in 2008.  My BSc and MSc degrees are from Tel Aviv University in Industrial Engineering. Before joining the University of Haifa, I was a member of the research staff at Nokia Research center in Cambridge, MA. I have also visited in the past the labs of Microsoft Research in Redmond, and more recently, Google Research in  Tel-Aviv.   My main interests are in Information Extraction and Semantics, applied to the processing of natural language, relational knowledge and social media.
