What is Dual Language Immersion?

• It is a form of bilingual education in which students are taught literacy and content in two different languages.

  • (Es una forma de educación bilingüe en la que a los estudiantes se les enseña alfabetización y contenido en dos idiomas diferentes.)

• Spanish and English are the two languages that will be taught in our DLI Program.

  • (Español e inglés son los dos idiomas que se enseñarán en nuestro Programa DLI)

• The program will begin in Kindergarten and continue through 6th grade.

What is the goal?

Students will leave the program being bilingual and biliterate in Spanish and English with a cross-cultural understanding.
