Dear Gabilan Hills and HDLA families:

I hope this message finds you and yours well! I am writing to let you know some important information leading up to the return to in-person learning for many of our students.

Next week, March 29th to April 2nd is our Spring Break and there will be no distance learning classes.

We return to distance learning on Monday, April 5th and will continue with the same schedule we have had for Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, April 5th, 6th, and 7th. April 8th and 9th will be ASYNCHRONOUS learning days to allow teachers time to set up their classrooms for in-person learning. Teachers will check in with students to take attendance per their usual start time and answer any questions, but shortly after will sign off for the day. Middle school will take attendance at every period start time.

If you have already responded to the survey or spoken with one of our staff members about your preference, nothing more is needed from you. Thank you! You will receive confirmation of your choice in an email as soon as possible.

If you have not completed the survey you may still answer in the link below.

If we do not hear from you we will assume that you will continue with distance learning and continue to try to contact you.

Please send your child to school wearing a mask and a backpack that will remain outside with the following:

A water bottle (no drinking fountains at this time)

Their Chromebook, charged and ready to use

Wear or bring a sweatshirt or layers of clothing as doors will be open for circulation

Do NOT bring to school any pencil boxes, toys or food

Plan to drop your child off as follows:

Main entrance near the office: All Gabilan Hills students and all TK students (who will be escorted to their classrooms by staff).

Migrant Office side entrance: All HDLA K-5th graders

Multipurpose Room entrance: All HDLA 6th-8th graders

Parents will not be allowed to enter with their child however there will be lots of help on hand to make sure each child gets to his/her room safely. Every child's temperature will be taken before entering the campus and in the case of a fever, will be isolated, parent called, and sent home immediately. Children will enter directly into the classroom and may not arrive any earlier than their start time.

¡Espero que este mensaje los encuentre bien a ustedes y su familia! Les escribo para comunicarles información importante que conducirá al regreso del aprendizaje en persona para muchos de nuestros estudiantes.

La próxima semana, del 29 de marzo al 2 de abril, son nuestras vacaciones de primavera (Spring Break) y no habrá clases de aprendizaje a distancia.

Use o traiga una sudadera o capas de ropa ya que las puertas estará abierta para circular el aire

NO traiga a la escuela cajas de lápices, juguetes o alimentos

Puede planear en dejar a su hijo de la siguiente manera:

Entrada principal cerca de la oficina: Todos los estudiantes de Gabilan Hills y todos los estudiantes de TK (quienes serán acompañados a sus aulas por el personal ).

Entrada lateral de la Oficina de Migrantes: Todos los estudiantes de HDLA de K-5 ° grado

Entrada al salón de usos múltiples: Todos los estudiantes de HDLA de 6 ° a 8 ° grado

Los padres no podrán entrar con sus hijos; sin embargo, habrá mucha ayuda disponible para asegurarse de que cada niño llegue a su salón de forma segura. Se tomará la temperatura de cada niño antes de ingresar al campus y, en caso de fiebre, se aislará, se llamará a los padres y se enviará a casa de inmediato. Los niños entrarán directamente al salón de clases y no podrán llegar antes de la hora de inicio. Las puertas de la escuela se abrirán a las 8:00 am.
