Non-Perishable Food Items for Covenant House
Contact: Kevin Michael Ryan (kevinmichaelryan@gmail.com)
Mary Beth Burns (LS Technology teacher) writes: My friend and neighbor, Kevin Ryan, runs Covenant House in NYC and across the country. As you can imagine this pandemic has had such an impact on the homeless children. everywhere but especially in NYC. The stories he has told me are heartbreaking. I know it's not a traditional hospital, but they've converted so many places to COV-ID treatment centers for the children in their care. They would greatly appreciate food donations. Kevin can direct you to the right person who coordinates this.
Non-Perishable Foods and Hygiene Products
Contact: Yinan Lan at NYU Langone (Yinan.Lan@nyulangone.org )
I run a homeless clinic at Bellevue and was chatting recently with the Manhattan street outreach leads. While the hospitals like Bellevue have received an influx of donation and support from different communities, our street homeless population has been much more deprived of resources. The usual restaurant/store food sources and public restrooms are all closed. So if possible to have non-perishable food and hygiene product donation for the street outreach teams to give out to people living on the street. That’d be great.
