By Ernests Mikuts
The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip is one of the newest phones that Samsung has released. It came out just on February 14th, 2020! Let’s look into some of the specs:
Colours: The Z Flip has three options for colours — Mirror Purple, Mirror Black, and Mirror Gold. Not too fast, though. Samsung warns that the availability of these colours may vary in different countries.
Dimensions & Weight: The dimensions are as follows: folded: 73.6 x 87.4 x 17.3mm hinge - 15.4mm sagging. Unfolded: 73.6 x 167.3 x 7.2mm - 6.9mm (Screen). The weight for the Z Flip is 183 grams.
Display: The main display for the Galaxy Z Flip is 6.7 inches (diagonally). It is a FHD + Dynamic AMOLED display.
Front Camera: The front camera is a 10MP selfie camera with Live Focus and Live Focus Videos.
Rear Camera: The rear camera is a dual camera. It consists of one Ultra Wide Camera and one Wide-Angle Camera. The Wide-Angle Camera has a OIS (Optical Image Stabilization) feature. All in all, the dual camera has an 8x digital zoom, HDR10+ recording, and a Tracking AF feature. All together the cameras have 10 modes.
Battery: The Z Flip has a 3300mAh (as Samsung says ‘typical’) dual battery.
Charging: Fast charging is available using the power cord or wireless. Wireless charging is compatible with Wireless PowerShare.
Memory: The Galaxy Z Flip has an amount of 8GB RAM space and 256GB storage space.
SIM cards: The Z Flip can hold one Nano SIM and one eSIM. (Both sold separately)
Like most Samsung phones, the GAlaxy Z Flip also comes with an AI assistant called Bixby.
I, personally, would say this phone is a regular one, just with an option to fold it in the middle. Nothing too big. If you would like something that has the newest of everything, I advise to buy a different phone. If you have very small pockets, or want a small phone this is one of the options you can consider.
