Micro Habits

Micro Habits

By Marius Machedon

In this article, I will be talking about some of my favorite and most effective micro habits. These small habits help a lot over the long run so progress might not be present immediately.

  1. Exercise for 5 minutes every morning

I usually go for 30 push-ups and 60 squats, but whatever form of exercise is good. Exercising in the morning will not only give you confidence throughout the day, but also get your blood flow started much faster.

  1. Invest in experiences, not objects

I am not saying that you should not buy yourself anything and if you are at the supermarket reading this go ahead. What I'm saying is that experiences can be remembered and talked about more than objects. So spend money on trips, on holidays, and on special occasions.

  1. Prepare your clothes

Simple but efficient. Why would you waste your mental energy in the morning when you could use whatever’s left the previous night. It helps save energy right? Isn’t that awesome?

  1. Drink more water

Water is one of the most important resources that everyone needs to survive and most people that can afford water for some reason or excuse don’t drink enough water. Water is very beneficial for brainpower, the skin, body detoxification, and I could go on and on.

  1. Make your bed every day

Making your bed every day is beneficial for several reasons some of them are: relieving stress, better sleep, and improved focus. A survey carried out by Psychology Today infers that 59% of people don’t make their bed in the morning. People want to achieve great things in their life so start by making your bed.
