Heart Dissections

Friday, 20 May, the IGCSE 2 pupils took part in a pig heart dissection practical. Getting a first hand experience of how this fist-sized muscle, provides some of the most important molecules our body needs, oxygen. Exploring all the different chambers, blood vessels and valves.

Getting to make some incisions themselves and being able to visually see the theory knowledge they gained in class. What a wonderful way to end this academic year.
