Minimum Number of Credits: In order for a student to graduate from Henry County Public Schools, the student must have successfully completed the following:
A Minimum of 22 credits comprised of the following:
Four credits in English. English I, II, and two other personalized credits covering the remaining required KAS for Reading and Writing.
Three credit in Social Studies. Three credits aligned with the students Individual Learning Plan (ILP) and covering the KAS for Social Studies. Typically, this is Social Studies 1,2 and 3 or World Civilizations, Civics and Geography and U.S. History.
Four credits in Math. Algebra I, Geometry, and two other personalized credits covering the remaining required KAS for Mathematics.
Three credits in Science. Three credits aligned with ILP and covering the KAS for Science. Typically, this is Science 1,2 and 3 or Physical Science, Biology and Chemistry.
1/2 credit: Health 1/2 credit: Physical Education (one of which shall provide CPR training).
One credit: Visual/Performing Arts aligned with ILP and covering the KAS for Visual and Performing Arts.
Pass the Civics test which can be taken an unlimited number of times.
One credit in a Financial literacy standards program or course;
Demonstrated performance-based competency in technology - this can be accomplished through an online digital safety and use course or through the course of the entire pathway.
Six elective credits; one or more will provide instruction in essential workplace ethics
