Welcome Mathematicians!

Our math class will be called Math Island where you will explore, problem solve, and compute mathematical problems through various adventures. Again, welcome to our Math Island site, I hope you are as ready as I am! We are already off to an exciting school year with remote learning. This website contains everything you will need to be successful in my class. You will find important information, such as the class syllabus, the weekly agendas, links to helpful websites, and digital math resource shelf.

MATHEMATICIAN of the week

Albert Einstein was a German mathematician and physicist who developed the special and general theories of relativity. In 1921, he won the Nobel Prize for physics for his explanation of the photoelectric effect. Einstein's theories of special and general relativity drastically altered man's view of the universe, and his work in particle and energy theory helped make possible quantum mechanics and, ultimately, the atomic bomb.
