Welcome to Healthcare Science at Hampton!
Healthcare Science, Creating a Better World Through Your Skills
Welcome to the 2025–2026 School Year!
This year marks my twelfth in education and my eighth at Hampton High School. As one of the original staff members from our 2014 opening, I proudly launched the Law & Public Safety Pathway, the Healthcare Science Pathway, and led the HOSA chapter for seven years. I remain passionate about equipping and empowering tomorrow’s healthcare professionals.
Born and raised in south metro Atlanta, I graduated from Morrow High School, where I performed with the Marching Mustangs, contributed to the school newspaper, and—at just 16—spun country and gospel records as a disc jockey for Morrow’s WSSA 1570 AM.
I earned my bachelor’s degree from the University of Georgia (Go Dawgs!) and completed my EMT and Firefighter training through the Clayton County Fire & EMS Academy. Following a career with BellSouth/AT&T, I transitioned to education by teaching GED classes at West Georgia Technical College. In May 2015, I became a certified educator through the Georgia Teacher Academy for Preparation and Pedagogy (GaTAPP).
In today’s evolving world, academic and technical skills are more relevant than ever. My mission is to equip students with tools they can apply in school, in life, and in their future careers. Whether you need these tomorrow, next year, or when you're thirty, the skills you develop now will help you adapt, solve problems, and build self-reliance—essential qualities for providing for yourself and your family.
After living in Henry County for over 20 years, I’ve witnessed tremendous growth (yes, I remember when we had just two high schools!). When I’m not in the classroom, I enjoy spending time with my daughters—Gabby, CeCe, and Marissa—as well as photography, tennis, reading, NASCAR, college sports, trivia, and movies (you might even spot me in the background of a few films or shows).
Let’s live out ourHornet PRIDE (Personal Responsibility, Respectful, Involved, Diligent, and Engaged in Excellence) as we grow together this school year.
