Hi!
My name is Kate Bailey, and I am the College and Career Readiness Coach at Locust Grove High School. I have been in education since 2013. My experience as a senior English teacher, an instructional coach, and a mother of two has given me the passion and unique skillset to step into this position and be as equally committed to the student, parent, and teacher experience at Locust Grove High School.
Things I especially love: parents who are excited to celebrate their students' achievements and push them to reach their dreams, students who know when to ask for help and how to believe in themselves, and teachers who believe that every student can and will be successful with the right supports in place.

Help families, teachers, and students use a credit sheet to audit their own transcripts. Contact me if you want help with this!
I work with 9th-11th graders to get them/keep them on track to graduate!
I work with a team to plan graduation and senior-related events.
I coordinate classes and keep students on track in for Credit Recovery through Georgia Virtual School and Edgenuity.
I coordinate grade repair courses.
I work with our cluster schools to ensure that students are ready for high school when they get here.
I coordinate and sponsor vertical cluster opportunities for our high school students to support our elementary and middle school, and I co-host our Annual Cluster Showcase with our principal, Mr. Townsend.
I work with a stellar educator team to support our Ted Ed Student Talks program.
