Mr. Hammond Teacher Bio
I hold a Bachelor's degree in History from Georgia Southern University and a Master's degree in Criminal Justice from American Public University. With a passion for both education and public service, it is my intent to bring a unique blend of real-world experience and academic knowledge to the classroom.
Before transitioning into teaching, I spent 3 years working as a law enforcement officer, gaining hands-on experience in the field of criminal justice. This background allows me to offer students valuable insights into the practical aspects of law enforcement, law, and public safety.
With 5 years of teaching experience, I have taught a variety of subjects, including English Literature and Georgia History. I am currently in my second year teaching Law and Public Safety career pathway. The Law and Public Safety Career Pathway consists of three courses, Introduction to Law and Public Safety, Criminal Justice Essentials, and Criminal investigations/ Forensic Science.
I am committed to fostering an engaging and dynamic learning environment where students can connect the classroom material to real-world applications. I am dedicated to preparing students for future careers in law, public safety, and other related fields by providing them with the knowledge and skills needed to succeed in their chosen paths.
