Examine and review color contrast through complementary, split-complementary, and triadic color schemes in artwork.
Brainstorm words that can be associated with identity. Draw a portrait using the template for the proportions of a face and head.
Draw a self-portrait Incorporate words that represent the identity.
Choose a pair/trio of complements, split-complements, or triads to use for the portraits. Apply color using paint, markers, and colored pencils.
Add final details. Write an artist statement explaining color choices and the words used to express identities.
