Take several selfies with different expressions to communicate a message. Choose one and print a 5” x 7” copy. Use a pencil to outline the black areas on and around the face. Then outline all of the white areas on and around the face. Trace over the lines with a marker.
Place white 12” x 18” paper over photocopy. Trace the marker lines of the face four times on the white paper.
Apply paint to each face using three colors: one color for the white areas, one color for the gray areas, and one color for the very dark areas.
Apply paint to remaining faces.
Paint the background of each face using a different color for each background.
Apply pop art inspired lines and/or patterns with oil pastels to the faces and/or backgrounds.
