This 36 week course is designed to introduce the beginning and advanced student to the fundamentals of furniture making. Through a series of lectures, demonstrations, and required hands on projects, students will learn basic tool handling, machine operation, layout, design, joinery, assembly, and finishing techniques. During the course of the year students will have the opportunity to learn and apply basic mechanical and problem solving skills needed to successfully produce several finished pieces of quality furniture.
