The State Seal of Civic Engagement (SSCE) is an award, adopted by the State Board of Education (SBE), for students who demonstrate excellence in civics education and participation. Students who earned a seal will have it affixed to their transcripts, diplomas, or certificates of completion.

By successfully completing a Civic Engagement Project, students may earn a State of California State Seal of Civic Engagement diploma seal, a Hemet USD Certificate of Completion and a graduation cord.
