Legal Representation
Good Call provides a 24/7 arrest support hotline that prevents individuals from having their rights violated because they can't afford a private lawyer when they are arrested.
Services Offered
Provides legal representation once an arrest happens to ensure initial rights are not violated.
Provides legal support in evoking rights at the time of arrest.
Will assist in a case transfer to a public defender or private attorney for arraignment.
Eligibility
Those who are arrested in New York City boroughs of The Bronx, Brooklyn, Manhattan, Queens, and Staten Island regardless of residency.
Self or family member referrals only.

Released from Rikers Island or a New York State Correctional Facility.

The Alternative to Incarceration (ATI) Program is a collaboration between Housing Works Inc. and the Mayor’s Office of Criminal Justice (MOCJ) to provide jail-bound individuals 18 years of age and
older with court-mandated comprehensive, holistic behavioral health services through Brooklyn and Manhattan Criminal and Supreme Courts. The behavioral health services are provided through Housing Works Inc. Article 28 OASAS clinics.

Program participant must be in pre-trial, pre-plea, or post-disposition
Requirements
Attorney must make referral, no self-refferals accepted.
Open Cases in Brooklyn or Manhattan or reside in Brooklyn or Manhattan and have cases in other boroughs.
Restrictions
Sex offense cannot be the top charge.

Program Summary
The New York City Civilian Complaint Review Board (CCRB) is an independent agency. It is empowered to receive, investigate, mediate, hear, make findings, and recommend action on complaints against New York City police officers alleging the use of excessive or unnecessary force, abuse of authority, discourtesy, or the use of offensive language. The Board’s investigative staff, composed entirely of civilian employees, conducts investigations in an impartial fashion. The Board forwards its findings to the police commissioner.
