The City of New York, Department of Homeless Services, and other organizations operate warming centers across New York City during the Winter.
These Warming Centers are short-term emergency shelters that operate when temperatures or a combination of precipitation, wind chill, wind, and temperature become dangerously inclement-- mainly during Code Blue Weather Emergencies in New York City.

Program Summary
The warming center is located in the Mission Hall, adjacent to the main sanctuary. The site opens at 9:00pm. Clients are provided with 2 chairs; 1 chair to sit, the other allowing them to elevate their feet. There are no selected seating arrangements, clients are allowed to place their chairs wherever they like in the space. The space arrangement is on a first come, first serve basis. If needed, the site can accommodate a few more than 30 individuals. Please call one of the team members listed below for capacity, and clearance.
