COHEN ELEMENTARY NEWSLETTER, February 2024 EDITION
Cohen Elementary dismissal is a busy time and our top priority is safety and getting children to their pick ups and on the buses efficiently as possible. We ask that once your child has been dismissed to you that you keep them with you and not let them run around the bus port. Once your child(ren) has been dismissed to you, we ask that you leave the Cohen campus in a timely manner.
Ensuring a smooth flow of traffic and minimizing congestion on our bus port is crucial for everyone's safety and convenience.
The blue zone is designated for student drop off. When entering the blue zone, please pull up as far as you can to allow more cars to filter into this area.
Once you're in the blue zone, please have your child ready to exit the vehicle on the passenger side. Exiting efficiently on the passenger side is for safety and allowing cars in the left lane to pass through. We ask that adults do not get out of their car in the blue zone, we have staff that can assist if need be.
For dismissal changes, attendance, and other time sensitive information that needs to be communicated to the school, we ask that you call the main office. Teachers are teaching throughout the day and may not see messages that are time sensitive.
If your child is sick with fever, diarrhea, or throwing up, they must be symptom free for 24 hours before returning to school
Due to the large volume of students daily being seen by the nurse, in the event of an injury or ailment that occurred outside of school, please consult your child's primary care physician
