Don't stress and do your best
Be sure to get a good night's sleep and a nice healthy breakfast, let your brain do it's best work!
Please reach out to your child's teacher with further questions
Cohen Elementary dismissal is a busy time and our top priority is safety and getting children to their pick ups and on the buses efficiently as possible. If you are sending your child as a walker to the playground, we ask that you pick them up there to avoid confusion on our busport.
If you are a parent pick up on the busport, we ask that once your child has been dismissed to you that you keep them with you and not let them run around the busport. Once your child(ren) has been dismissed to you, we ask that you leave the Cohen campus in a timely manner.
Ensuring a smooth flow of traffic and minimizing congestion on our busport is crucial for everyone's safety and convenience.
Reminder: The school playground is closed to the public during the school day from 7:45 AM - 2:10 PM for in school student use only.
If you are picking up your child at the playground for walkers, please be sure to stay in your vehicles until all classes have cleared the playground area at 2:10.
Thank you for your cooperation!
Parents wishing to request a teacher for next year may do so in writing by April 20th. All requests must be in writing and submitted only to Ms. McNamara. Please place your request in an envelope and submit to the main office labeled to Ms. McNamara. Please no emails. Requests should not go to teachers.
In your letter, please also share your child's educational and behavioral needs and what you're looking for in a teacher to best fit your child
We understand that having the right teacher can greatly impact a student's educational experience and we want to accommodate your input as much as possible. While we cannot guarantee that every request will be fulfilled due to various factors such as scheduling and class sizes, special education, and other educational circumstances, we will do our best to take your preferences into consideration. With that being said, we ask that you give two options for teachers if you are choosing to request to help best accommodate these requests.
