Hello!  My name is Mrs. Keith and I teach Spanish and French at Hurst Junior High.  This year,  however, I am only teaching Spanish 1A (7th grade).

I have taught Spanish and French for many years at the middle school, junior high, and high school levels.  I have also taught foreign language at the junior college and university levels.   I look forward to working with you and helping you to discover the joy of learning a foreign language!

 TUTORING SCHEDULE:

MONDAY - FRIDAY: 3:40-4:15 (or later as needed).

I am USUALLY AVAILABLE EVERY DAY AFTER SCHOOL to help students.  Please let me know if you plan to come to tutoring.  

Tutoring BEFORE School is available by APPOINTMENT ONLY.   

Please contact me ahead of time to schedule tutoring BEFORE school.

2.  A CONTAINER OF DISINFECTANT WIPES

LIST of REQUIRED SUPPLIES for SPANISH CLASS:

EVERY DAY, each student should bring the following supplies to class:

•  Spanish textbook (* if issued individually *)   (* Some classes have a class set of books. *)

•  a THREE-RING BINDER with pockets and dividers  [1" or 1 & 1/2 " size is large enough]

•  a SPIRAL NOTEBOOK (to keep class notes from year to year) (no composition books, please)

•  NOTEBOOK PAPER  [needed all year]

• 1 BOX CLEAR SHEET PROTECTORS (to protect Spanish handouts in your binder)

•  PENCILS AND ERASERS;  [Plus EXTRA LEAD if using MECHANICAL PENCILS]

•  PENS  [BLUE or BLACK INK ONLY for schoolwork] 

• COLORED PENCILS  

• 1 PKG. of 100  3 x 5  INDEX CARDS  [leave them in class to make sets of Flash Cards] 

GOOD IDEAS: 

• PENCIL BAG with your name on it

• HAND HELD PENCIL SHARPENER

• HOLE REINFORCEMENT LABELS ("HOLE FIXERS") for handouts, if desired.  [These are round stickers to use when your papers get torn.]

• PAPERBACK SPANISH-ENGLISH / ENGLISH-SPANISH DICTIONARY (Keep at Home to help with assignments)
