Welcome to HEB ISD New Professionals Orientation. July 24-31 is required training for all new to HEB ISD professionals . An overview of the orientation schedule is outlined below. 

Business casual attire is appropriate for the week.

Pat May Center reserved parking is for PMC employees only. Feel free to park in non-reserved parking spaces.

Be sure to set up your profile and register for all sessions that pertain to your teaching assignment.

Through SCHED, each attendee is able to register for sessions, view their schedule for the week on any device, add sessions to their calendar, receive daily schedule reminders on the day of the event, and provide feedback. 

We also recommend that new professionals download the free SCHED app in order to receive up to date information about training session times and locations. After you have set up your profile, please register for the courses you plan to attend.  Attendees will complete a self check-in through the app during each session.

Wednesday, July 24

New Professionals Orientation Day

Today is the New Professionals orientation kick-off day at the Pat May Center. Check-in is from 7:15-7:45 am. We will begin the day promptly at 8:00 am.  A light breakfast will be served on this day.  The HEB ISD Education Foundation is also providing lunch for all new professionals. Please be sure to register for this day in Sched.

Technology Training

Today you will attend a designated in-person technology session at the Pat May Center. Elementary staff will attend in the morning and secondary/support staff will attend in the afternoon. Please be sure to register in Sched. Please bring your district issued computer with you and earbuds.

On your own for breakfast and lunch.


When you are not in a technology session you will report to your assigned campus to begin working on self-directed online training requirements. See list of requirements below. 

You will also need to review curriculum content prior to meeting with Coordinators on Monday and Tuesday.

Self-Directed Online Learning Requirements


You will be participating in these required trainings asynchronously, while at your assigned home campus/department.  These trainings may be accessed by logging in with your district issued employee credentials.

History of Hurst Euless Bedford ISD- Required video for all new hires to learn the history of our school district. The History of HEB ISD Presented by Marci Deal 


Beginning of the Year  Compliance Training for All Staff- Start the Beginning of the Year On-Line Training requirements located in Class Link . Electronic signature will be required for submission. Training will be accessible starting July 24th.   *due 8/9/24

T-TESS Training Requirement- This is required for all zero year teachers, new to Texas teachers, or new to the T-TESS appraisal system. Please turn in your completion certificate to your administrator prior to being evaluated. T-TESS Training Log-in Directions
