Welcome to Central Junior High's Art Page!

In art you will have he opportunity to use your mind and your hands to create things out of all different kinds of materials so that you may grow as an artist and a person. Each assignment will connect to the Elements & Principles of Art, art history, and technique of a new material.

In order to have this experience you will need to come everyday, prepared to put forth your best effort and engage in expanding your mind.

My mission as an art teacher is to educate, motivate and inspire my students through meaningful activities, which includes the basic art elements/principles of design, art appreciation, and visual awareness that is fundamental to intellectual growth and creative self-expression. I will have a positive attitude and will create a comfortable environment that will display thoughtful planning and differentiated instruction for diverse learning styles that will spark students’ creativity.

GRADING

This scale applies to each assignment:

• 60% EFFORT
• 30% NEATNESS
• 10% EXTRA EFFORT
